Board of Registered Nursing is Restored

Governor Jerry Brown has signed Senate Bill 98, the legislation reconstituting the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). The entire board will be reappointed under the new bill.

SPNN was officially recognized by the National Labor Relations Board in 1996 when more than 2/3 of Sharp Registered Nurses voted to unionize. SPNN affiliated with UNAC/UHCP, NUHHCE, AFSCME and the AFL-CIO.
