The already underserved Antelope Valley community will soon suffer a cut in urgent medical services, when Kaiser’s decision to close its Urgent Care in Lancaster at 11 PM becomes effective on April 1. Nurses and health care workers gathered on February 14 in front of the hospital with a special Valentine’s Day message for Kaiser: “Have a Heart, Keep Our Urgent Care 24/7.” Kaiser patients deserve accessible, quality healthcare in their own communities. 700 Strong at Kaiser South Bay Picket Line

On December 11, 700 members and other union supporters turned out on the picket line at Kaiser South Bay to protest the reductions in force in violation of our contract. UNAC/UHCP members from all over Southern California came in support including Kaiser Baldwin Park, Kaiser San Diego, Kaiser Downey, Kaiser Fontana, Kaiser Orange County, Kaiser Ontario-Vineyard, Kaiser Panorama City and Kaiser Woodland Hills.
