Kaiser National Agreement Ratified

It’s official! After 1,500 UNAC/UHCP members came to bargaining and made our voices heard, all our hard work has paid off! Follow the link to read the official notice from the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions that the National Agreement has been ratified and will go into effect on October 1, 2012. We did it!

At 10 PM on July 18, it became official. UNAC/UHCP members overwhelmingly ratified our Collective Bargaining Agreement with Kaiser, as part of the National Agreement covering 95,000 Kaiser employees across the country.

“I feel that sitting on the Board of Optometry in the prime of one’s career is advantageous because you have enough experience to understand multiple aspects of your profession including patient care and clinical practice, administrative aspects, as well the implications on public health,” Chawla shared. “You also have the ability to actively participate in the evolution of your profession as well as potentially improve the profession for future generations. ”
