California Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon has appointed Physical Therapist Debra Sung to the California Healthcare Workforce Policy Commission (CHWPC) as consumer representative to the 15-member advisory board which helps expand access to medical care and increase the number of primary care practitioners.

California Governor Jerry Brown Signs SB 17

California Gov. Jerry Brown has signed SB 17 into law. Senate Bill 17 requires drug makers to explain price hikes. UNAC/UHCP strongly supported the landmark drug pricing transparency bill as it made its way through the California legislative process.
