SPNN Bargaining Continues

We completed a successful second day of bargaining on Thursday, July 14
We reached our first tentative agreements (TAs), agreeing to changes in Article 1, Recognition and Article 12, Job Posting and Filling of Vacancies.
Among our proposals to management on Thursday, we put forward:
- Volunteers should be canceled first;
- after being canceled, placement on standby should be voluntary not mandatory;
- limit cancellations to no more than one per four week work schedule; and
- end mandatory overtime—all overtime should be voluntary.
We also proposed changes to the grievance and arbitration procedure and other provisions of the contract.
