Retirees
Retired UNAC/UHCP members are eligible to join the Retiree Chapter at the rate of $25 per year. The committee is currently engaged in a number of projects, from recruiting more members to the Retiree Chapter, to answering the committee phone in the San Dimas office. In the future, members will have the opportunity to attend education conferences and special events. For more information, please call 909-618-0657.

Barbara Owens: Retired but Just Getting Started

With her retirement approaching, Kaiser RN Barbara Owens began preparing to spend more time as a volunteer. She completed training for the Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA, where children in the dependency system are paired with a trained advocate who makes recommendations to the court about their services and placement. She trained at a local animal shelter to volunteer weekly with dogs.
