We Did It–Kaiser Contract Ratified!

With the threat of takeaways hanging over negotiations, over 1,500 UNAC/UHCP members flooded bargaining in a sea of blue unity. Heavy member participation prevented any contract losses. WE DID IT!

At 10 PM on July 18, it became official. UNAC/UHCP members overwhelmingly ratified our Collective Bargaining Agreement with Kaiser, as part of the National Agreement covering 95,000 Kaiser employees across the country.

Negotiations were the culmination of many months of heavy participation leading up to bargaining.

"Every member counts when fighting for our cause," said Kaiser Sunset's Tina Ang, RN in the Surgery unit, during the contract campaign.

This victory was only possible through the hard work of UNAC/UHCP members, and your strong participation in the process.

"Bargaining was a great experience and I learned a lot. I see now how important it is to see how all this ties together." said RN Alicia Villalobos, from Kaiser West LA's NICU.
