“We Are One” Celebrations April 4 in Los Angeles and San Diego

April 2011

History is hitting home again. Nurses and union members are under attack across the country, with governors in states like Wisconsin banning collective bargaining and tearing-up union contracts.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was helping to organize AFSCME Sanitation Workers in Memphis, Tennessee when he was assassinated on April 4, 1968.

In San Diego and Los Angeles this Monday, April 4, we’ll honor his legacy by joining in solidarity to support nurses and working families across the United States.
