Volunteer Medical Staff Needed – May 28, 2010

UNAC/UHCP is collaborating with Camp Laurel to find Volunteer Medical Staff (LVN, RN, NP, PA or MD licensed in CA) for the organization's upcoming summer/teen camp program, scheduled from July 4-10, 2010.

Camp Laurel provides educational and support programs to children, youth and families affected by HIV/AIDS. Camp Laurel enables children living with HIV/AIDS to experience the magic and wonder of childhood without the stresses of their daily lives.

Medical volunteers are responsible for distributing medication and for the general health of campers and staff. Medical volunteers are welcome to participate in all camp activities, which include campfires, hiking, arts & crafts, cabin skits and more. Previous HIV/AIDS experience is NOT necessary.

If you are interested in volunteering to bring hope and happiness to children affected by HIV/AIDS, complete the Camp Laurel application online. Applications are due no later than Saturday, June 12, 2010.

For those unable to volunteer during the full term of the summer camp program, medical volunteers may choose to volunteer for either Session 1 (July 4-7) or Session 2 (July 7-10).
