Chino RNs and Management Meet with Federal Mediator —
While management has proposed to hire new RNs and pay them more than currently employed RNs, Chino RNs continue to bargain after a federal mediator was called in to assist negotiations. Check unacuhcp.org for updates.
Lakewood Bargaining to Begin in March —
The Lakewood Registered Nurses Association has started preparing for negotiations. Bargaining dates will be announced soon, and the preparatory work for negotiations, such as bargaining surveys and selecting a negotiations team, has already begun in earnest.
UNAC/UHCP Special Convention Scheduled —
UNAC/UHCP will be holding a special one-day convention on Saturday, May 18 in Pomona, California. Delegate nominations have closed.
Kaiser Contract Specialists Take Off —
Contract specialists, key members of our Kaiser affiliate leadership teams, converged on the UNAC/UHCP San Dimas office for a three day training in January, and an additional day in February to learn the tricks of the trade. This year’s contingent of Contract Specialists will help to educate Kaiser UNAC/UHCP members about their contract, as in years past. Please look for them in your facilities.
