UNAC/UHCP Joins Protest Against “Biggest Loser”

UNAC/UHCP showed its solidarity with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) on Thursday, November 18, by joining in the strike against the producers of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser.” The show’s 50 production crewmembers voted unanimously to make IATSE their union in an effort to gain health coverage and address workplace concerns. The show’s producers have not agreed to discuss a union contract and hired replacement workers, many of whom have not crossed the picket line.
