UNAC/UHCP Facebook Policy
The following pertains to the Facebook page of the United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals (UNAC/UHCP).
This page is intended for our members to receive updates on union activity. We welcome comments and a variety of opinions.
Our goal is to maintain a community where members, non-members and the general public can feel free to express themselves. We encourage this kind of feedback:
• “On topic” and responds to the content in the article or post
• Responds to comments left by other followers
• Brief and to-the-point
• Positive/constructive tone
• Offer opinions without insulting individuals, companies, unions or other organizations
All users of Facebook have the right to remove unwanted content posted by others on their page, and we reserve the right to moderate comments and posts and remove any that are considered to be:
- Attacks on individuals, companies, unions, or other organizations
-Invading the privacy of others
- Shouting – that means they’re written in ALL CAPS
- Advertising, solicitations, or spam
- Containing expletives, or images or videos containing nudity, sexual acts or excessive violence
- Defamatory, obscene, offensive, pornographic, vulgar, profane, indecent or otherwise unlawful
- Racially or religiously vilifying any person, or inciting hatred or violence, or likely to insult, offend or humiliate others based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation or any physical or mental disability
- False, misleading or deceptive
- Completely off topic or repetitive content
- Linking to unrelated Facebook pages, personal blogs or websites.
Users who breach this policy will be blocked.
