Support the Typhoon Relief Effort

UNAC/UHCP is running a campaign to raise $20,000 in donations for those impacted by the typhoon in the Philippines. Thank you for your overwhelming response! We've received over 100 donations and are more than 35% of the way toward our goal! Let's take it home-donate on UNAC/UHCP's online fundraising page.

This week, Feed the Hungry, the charity receiving our donations, called UNAC/UHCP directly to give us an update. They were grateful UNAC/UHCP members cared so much, and passed on many thanks. Click here to read how your donations are being used to help typhoon victims.

According to the information provided by Feed the Hungry, the following is how our donations are able to help those in need:

• $40 delivers 1,000 rations

• $100 will provide 2,500 emergency meals to survivors

• Every $1,000 received will put 25,000 meals into the hands of Philippino families who have lost everything

• $10,835 provides shipping and inland logistics to deliver one full container of relief rations to a partner church in the disaster zone

Thank you to everyone who has helped to provide over 175,000 emergency meals. If you'd like to donate and haven't had a chance, UNAC/UHCP has set up this online fundraising page to allow members to donate to this critical effort. UNAC/UHCP will match all donations by members, up to $20,000.

The UNAC/UHCP family mourns the tremendous loss of life that this typhoon has wrought. Our hearts go out to those families who have lost what surely feels like a piece of their hearts. Thank you for your generosity during this tragedy.
