When We Stand Up for Patient Safety
Patients Win

On September 15, UNAC/UHCP delivered petitions with thousands of signatures from UNAC/UHCP RNs and other health care professionals, calling on Kaiser Permanente to respect scope of practice and maintain patient safety in telemetry. This comes in response to Kaiser's plan to eliminate telemetry units throughout the Southern California region.

We stood together to speak up, and Kaiser heard us. The employer has agreed to come back to the table, to continue discussions regarding evidence-based telemetry protocols.

As frontline RNs and health care professionals, we will continue to advocate for our patients and our own scope of practice.

When we stand strong together, our collective voice cannot be ignored.
