St. Francis Registered Nurses Strike For Patient Care
August 2011
St. Francis RNs will strike effective Monday, September 12 at 6:45 AM through Thursday, September 15 at 6:45 AM.
It is crucial that we stand strong--together. Our three-day strike is centered on management's refusal to provide safe, patient-centered care standards; funding of our pension benefits; a fair wage adjustment; and a continued, affordable HMO option for our families.
This is our future. We have to stand together. Take the first step by signing up for a picketing shift for each day of the strike. Every RN should sign up for a minimum of one strike shift on each of the three days. Sign up with your Unit Committee member, Bargaining Team member, UNAC/UHCP Staff Representative, or by clicking on a shift below.
Day One: September 12. We will make an on-site video that documents our concerns about patient care. This is your chance to speak out for your patients. Wear your scrubs.
Day Two: September 13. Friends and Family Day: Bring the whole crew to join the picket line! Bring a photo of your family to help create our "Fighting for our Future" poster.
Day Three: September 14. Stand Up for Pension: We are all in this together!
