SPNN Provides Meals for San Diego Families
July 2017
Sharp Professional Nurses Network (SPNN) partnered with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego, which provides a home away from home to families with children being treated for serious, often life-threatening, conditions at local hospitals. By taking care of the basic necessities of life - a place to stay, meals, laundry services, and more, they make it possible for families to focus their attention on their critically ill or injured children. The Ronald McDonald House provides lodging and support to 1,400 families in San Diego each year.
On July 19, we volunteered to prepare, serve, and clean up after the meal that was provided to the families who benefit from this program. Together, SPNN members served dinner to over 125 people.
