SPNN and BRNA Join Beautification Efforts on Park Appreciation Day

On Saturday, October 7, our Sharp Professional Nurses Network (SPNN) and Balboa Registered Nurses Association (BRNA) affiliates participated in La Mesa's 12th Annual Park Appreciation Day at MacArthur Park. Our member volunteers helped plant, pull weeds, and clear trash from the area in an effort to begin repurposing what was previously a golf course into more public park space.

SPNN Grossmont Chair Kristen Palumbo, RN, organized the project on behalf of her affiliate. As a resident of La Mesa and frequent MacArthur Park visitor, she's especially committed to the long-term renovation efforts happening in this part of her community.
