SFRNA Bargaining Update #6 – Oct. 11, 2017

At the October 11 bargaining session, management made a proposal to give travelers Union seniority, but still not be part of the Union. This proposal could force regular Union nurses to be cancelled from work before travelers on regular days.

Seniority is a benefit reserved solely for Union members. The SFMC/Verity proposal may also give priority to travelers over our Union RNs to cover hours that otherwise would be overtime for our Union members. Our Union is completely and categorically opposed to this proposal!

Attend our next bargaining session! Let’s continue to keep the pressure on management to protect our profession.
