SFRNA Bargaining Update

December 2014

NO ST. FRANCIS BARGAINING THIS WEEK

NEW PRIME REPRESENTATIVE NEEDED TO FINISH OUR WORK

With the Prime labor attorney quitting on November 17 after having signed the pension funding letter of agreement, it is imperative that we get the agreement re-signed by an authorized Prime representative before proceeding.

As of today, Prime has not identified an authorized replacement to re-sign the Prime letters of agreement.

Furthermore, Prime is mischaracterizing the Union’s position regarding the sale, with company representatives telling St. Francis physicians and others that UNAC/UHCP and SFRNA are supportive of Prime’s bid. That is not true. We did agree to take a neutral position on the sale in exchange for the pension funding and other agreements. The Union will be submitting a revised neutrality agreement to St. Francis when we get back together, stating that everyone – the Union, Daughters and Prime – must characterize our position as strictly neutral.

We do anticipate bargaining one day the week of December 8. We will let everyone know as soon as a bargaining date, time and location have been set. As always, thanks for your continuing support.
