Closing In On Finishing the New Contract

The negotiating team met with management four days last week, completing work on paid time off benefits and making significant progress on finishing seniority and job postings. In addition, we started discussions on hours of work, including schedules.
Last Thursday was our 22nd meeting day, and approximately three-quarters of the contract has been agreed to. We do, however, have a few very challenging issues left to deal with, including part-time status, how schedules are developed, and workload. And with only three bargaining days left scheduled, at the end of the day on Thursday we agreed to six additional negotiations days to work on these tough issues. As of now, we are scheduled to meet on:

Though the remaining issues are challenging, we do believe we can finish by August 4. We invite all pharmacists to attend an upcoming bargaining session. Come and participate first hand as we work through the unresolved issues.
