Paul Horvat Keeps it All in the Family

Paul Horvat, CPA, the newly hired Finance Director at the UNAC/UHCP state office in San Dimas, comes to us with a deep familial connection to both health care and union work.  It’s not just that his aunt is a Hematology Oncology Pediatrician at the City of Hope.  It’s not just his cousin and uncle, who are physicians at Kaiser.  He says, “My family has had enormous impact on many of the values I hold.  My Grandfather always taught me his Union made life safer and gave him a sense of community.”

Outside of Paul’s career in accounting, his life is still rooted in his family.  He lives with his wife Kami, daughter Paige, son Mitchell and English Springer Spaniel Kalea in La Verne. He coaches his daughter’s city league basketball team.  Paul is looking forward to taking the team to the playoffs in March.  He also plays and collects vintage electric guitars.

Paul attended California State University, Northridge and later received his MBA from Pepperdine University.
