PARKVIEW REGISTERED NURSES ASSOCIATION
BARGAINING UPDATE 7/15/11

Our PRNA Bargaining Team is pleased to report this update on our negotiations this week. We have tentatively agreed to Article 6, Patient Care Advocacy, Supervision and Professional Responsibility and Article 18, Education Benefits. We have added improved Charge Nurse, floating and preceptor language. On-call and call-back pay will be increased as soon as we have ratified our new contract.

The rest of today was spent in discussions over our wage and benefit proposal. UNAC/UHCP’s economist and Parkview’s controller (the two ‘Bill$') met with our teams for a discussion about the fiscal details.

We have scheduled negotiations to continue next Friday. In the meantime, we will continue working throughout the coming week with the expectation Friday will be our final day. There are NO ‘do-overs’ in bargaining so this is YOUR opportunity to help bring this contract to a successful close!!
