NLRB to Prosecute Chino Valley Hospital’s Refusal to Bargain
February 2011
The National Labor Relations Board Region 31 has rejected Chino Valley Medical Center’s refusal to negotiate with the 125 Registered Nurses at the hospital and is using a fast track process to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.
This follows a February 2nd letter sent by the CVMC Assistant General Counsel to United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals (UNAC/UHCP) President Ken Deitz notifying him that hospital administrators refused to negotiate with the CVMC Registered Nurses in spite of the January 27 certification of UNAC/UHCP as the bargaining representative for the nurses.
UNAC/UHCP looks forward to finally sitting down at the bargaining table with the RNs to hammer out a contract that protects quality patient care at Chino Valley Medical Center.
