In Memoriam: Katrina Barragan, RN

UNAC/UHCP received devastating news that Katrina Barragan, RN, one of our union sisters from Kaiser Panorama Registered Nurses Association (KPRNA), was fatally stabbed by her husband and passed away on July 2.

Our union mourns the loss of Katrina Barragan, RN to this senseless act of violence.

Katrina had just started her position as a Perinatal Float PD nurse at Kaiser Panorama City in March of this year. Upon hearing about her tragic death, KPRNA affiliate officers made rounds to collect donations from members and other KP employees. The donation was given to the family at funeral services held in mid-July.

Our thoughts are with Katrina’s family, friends and colleagues affected by this horrific tragedy.
