Thousands Rally in LA for Union Solidarity

March 2011

On a crisp Saturday morning, several thousand nurses, teachers, Teamsters, electricians, and other union members marched in downtown Los Angeles to protest the attacks taking place on unions across the country.

Over twenty members of UNAC/UHCP were on hand to provide Emergency Medical Service teams along the parade route and to support the cause by marching in the parade and carrying signs that read "Attacks on Nurses' Unions are Attacks on Patients!" UNAC/UHCP also staffed a table in Pershing Square, where a concert featuring Ozomatli was held to promote solidarity amongst unions. Thank you to all of our members who came out on a Saturday morning to show their support, representing Kaiser San Diego, Kaiser Fontana, Kaiser South Bay, and Kaiser Downey.
