Officer Candidate Biographies

 

Nerissa Dizon, RN

For KPRNA Hospital President

A Registered Nurse for 20 years, Nerissa has worked in Medical-Surgical nursing with specialty in Oncology and Telemetry. She has been a Critical Care nurse since 1999 with two years of Clinical Manager (Med-Surg) experience. A KPRNA member since 2004, she became the Secretary for KPRNA in 2008. She served as the Contract Specialist in 2010 and 2012 and a temporary UNAC Staff Representative for Panorama City in 2013. Nerissa currently serves as the ICU UBT Labor Co-lead, the KP Panorama City LMP Council Labor Co-lead and the KPRNA Secretary.

Nerissa believes that member engagement and empowerment are key to a strong and cohesive Affiliate. It is vital to uphold the processes set forth in our Contract. In our interest to preserve and maintain patient safety, it is important to understand the things that set us up for failure and recognize the things that make us successful. It is equally important to be mindful of our environment as to preserve the ideals in our Contract.
