Kaiser Therapists: Negotiations Off to a Great Start
May 2013
Our Negotiating Team met for a full day yesterday. We reviewed the bargaining surveys. Pay, benefits and pension were some of the top priorities.
We anticipate that workload will also be a major topic of discussion in the future.
Today we made a great start in negotiations. We reached tentative agreement on:
- Preamble
- Agreement
- Courtesy
- Rights of Management
- Strikes & Lockouts
- Union Membership
- Non-Discrimination
- Health & Safety
- Savings Clause
Next Tuesday and Wednesday we will cover Union Representation and Grievance & Arbitration.
“It’s so interesting. We’ve all been working so many years at Kaiser together. But now it’s clear how different our medical centers operate.” —Preston Kent, MA, PT, Kaiser Downey
