Kaiser Bakersfield RNs Promote Health in Community
Registered nurses from Kaiser Bakersfield Registered Nurses Association (KBKRNA) provided first aid and promoted health and wellness at the International Fair in Bakersfield on Sunday, May 21.
Members rendered free blood pressure screenings and handed out information on how individuals can take care of themselves, including information on hypertension, strokes, transient ischemic attacks (TIAs), and diabetes.
For some fair attendees, it was an opportunity to learn from KBKRNA nurses about UNAC/UHCP's community involvement and our work towards achieving excellent and safe health care for all. It was a fun and informative event!
The community greatly appreciated the KBKRNA nurses who volunteered for this event. Great work to the following:
Ted Budy, RN
Roger Clever, RN
Jackie Dickinson, RN
Tereza Kluvers, RN
Gracie Johnstone, RN
Patty Lowery, RN
Maribel Ruiz, RN
