Honoring the 44th Anniversary of Title IX

On June 22, we were honored to once again join LA's First Lady Amy Wakeland and the Getty House Foundation for an event celebrating Title IX Day.

UNAC/UHCP members spent the day at the Getty House for a girls sports clinic in honor of the 44th anniversary of the passage of Title IX, a civil rights law that protects girls from discrimination in sports.

South Bay RNs provided first aid and applied sunscreen to 200 girls in attendance while UTSC physical therapists challenged the girls with some tough exercises. The day ended with a cool down stretch session led by physical therapists.
