Health Reform Will Increase Need for Nurses

January 2012

File under shocking news, a survey conducted by the consulting firm Towers Watson has confirmed what many suspected, that a majority of health care executives anticipate there will be labor shortages in the next several years as a result of health care reform. Chief among their concerns are nurses and physicians, those who deliver the care to patients.

The consulting firm reviewed the survey's findings, and stated "hospitals have to rethink and refine core business and operating processes while continuing to deliver quality care to the communities they serve."

More information on the survey and its findings can be found at California Healthline.
