UNAC/UHCP is committed to helping improve our communities through community service. Our union has a long history of volunteerism—gifts of our labor and professionalism, in direct care, education and money for those in need. See below for some of our latest community service work.

Kaiser Orange County Professionals Association (KOCPA) held a donation drive to assist victims of domestic violence in Orange County. With members’ generous donations and efforts, KOCPA was able to create Easter baskets for the children of Laura's House.

The Specialty Care Nurses of Southern California (SCNSC) held a toy drive this 2016 holiday season to benefit House of Ruth, an organization dedicated to assisting families victimized by domestic violence.

KSDHCPA members attended Assemblymember Lorena Gonzalez-Fletcher's Annual Holiday Open House and Diaper Drive in December. Last year, the Assemblywoman launched the first of an annual end-of-the-year diaper drive to help meet the more immediate needs of families within her district. This year, KSDHCPA members donated over 600 diapers.
