Get on the Bus to Protect Health Care

“First, do no harm” is a fundamental principle in health care.
Yet politicians in Washington are moving quickly to dismantle current health care law without any viable replacement plan to ensure access to quality, affordable health care.
When it comes to health care access we should only take steps forward, not back.
Unfortunately, plans now being developed threaten to:
- Throw millions of people off their insurance
- Slash thousands of health care jobs
- Cut our take home pay by taxing health insurance benefits as income
- Increase costs throughout the health care system
- Eliminate the ten essential health care benefits now guaranteed—including emergency services; maternity, pregnancy and newborn care; birth control coverage; preventive care and chronic disease management
Politicians have promised major decisions on the future of American health care in just the next few weeks.
They need to hear from us right now. We are among the most trusted voices in our society.
This is our moment to step up and advocate for our patients and ourselves.
