Days of Protest

December 2012

This week many of the more than 12,000 UNAC/UHCP members at Kaiser are set to participate in Days of Protest. "Kaiser’s decision to eliminate 175 positions without regard to seniority and to violate the employment and income security agreement crosses the line," said UNAC/UHCP President Ken Deitz.

Nearly 300 RNs, NPs, PAs, case managers, and optometrists met two weeks ago to plan Days of Protest.

On Tuesday December 11, Kaiser South Bay kicks off the protests. Picket lines begin 7:30AM and 11:30AM on 25825 South Vermont Ave in Harbor City. Click here to sign up.

On Thursday December 13, Kaiser Riverside rocks the Inland Empire with picket lines beginning at 6:30AM, 12 noon and 3PM. Cindy Klein RN and Clinic President told hundreds of members “This is a serious violation. We have to stand up to Kaiser, or who knows what they’ll do next.” Click here to join the Riverside picket line.

Friday, December 14, join Kaiser Ontario members who just a year ago, helped Kaiser open this facility, and are now facing position eliminations. UNAC/UHCP members are picketing at 7AM, 11AM, and 3PM. Click here to sign up!
