Chino RNs Protect Benefits at the Bargaining Table

Chino Bargaining Update: November 29, 2012
Today at bargaining we reached agreement on Paid Time Off Benefits, Preceptor and Health Benefits.

Our RN Negotiating Team has been fighting hard since August to secure our ability to continue to cash out PTO as many times as needed through the year. We've also been fighting to keep our right to be paid all accrued PTO if we leave Chino Valley Medical Center. Today, our hard fighting paid off and management agreed to our proposal regarding accrued PTO.

Chino RN benefits and our contribution amount were also at risk. But today management finally agreed to our proposal saving the current benefits at the current contribution rates. 

The RN Negotiating Team also had submitted a proposal requiring training and minimum experience requirements for preceptors. We have been waiting for management’s response, and today they finally agreed to our proposal.

In addition, we submitted a new wage proposal for higher salaries and guaranteed increases. We are hopeful that management will agree that Chino RNs deserve fair and reasonable wages in accordance with what our peers earn.
