Beverly Bargaining Update: August 12, 2011
August 2011
CA ASSEMBLY MAJORITY LEADER CHARLES CALDERON ATTENDS BEVERLY BARGAINING!!
If you missed the last two days of Beverly negotiations, then not only did you miss meeting your Assemblymember, but you also missed the lively debate as well.
It was clear something was different at negotiations these last two days. It was evident that the unannounced visit by Majority Leader Charles Calderon, one of the most powerful elected officials in California, brought light to the Hospital’s unwillingness to come to the bargaining table in good faith. In addition, it uncovered their lack of respect for the bargaining process and our members.
After repeatedly refusing to agree to accountability language in the contract or answer questions directly, Beverly’s management team threatened to walk out …… dos veces!!
If you want to take back your bargaining rights the Hospital has held hostage for the last 4 months, show up to our next negotiations on Wednesday.
Unfortunately, because the Hospital has not agreed to bargain again for nearly a month after our next negotiating session, you will need to see for yourself on Wednesday what the Hospital’s true agenda is.
DARE TO CARE!!
See you on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. at the Rosemead Doubletree, across from Montebello Mall.
