St. Francis RNs had a busy week! Members held a vigil for patient care, donated to local area schools for their annual school drive, and were back at the bargaining table on November 2.

Dozens of registered nurses employed by St. Francis Medical Center held a “roselight vigil” tonight for patient care at the hospital. They faced St. Francis Medical Center together and prayed by the light of plastic red roses which lit up the dusk.
4th Annual SFRNA Back to School Drive

SFRNA RNs were able to come together with ancillary staff, MDs, and other St. Francis employees to collect monetary donations for area schools Mark Twain Elementary and Washington Elementary.

California Governor Jerry Brown Signs SB 17

California Gov. Jerry Brown has signed SB 17 into law. Senate Bill 17 requires drug makers to explain price hikes. UNAC/UHCP strongly supported the landmark drug pricing transparency bill as it made its way through the California legislative process.
