RELEASE: #NotSilenced, St. Francis Registered Nurses, Faith Leaders and Elected Officials Hold “Roselight Vigil” for Patient Care

Dozens of registered nurses employed by St. Francis Medical Center held a “roselight vigil” tonight for patient care at the hospital. They faced St. Francis Medical Center together and prayed by the light of plastic red roses which lit up the dusk.

California Governor Jerry Brown Signs SB 17

California Gov. Jerry Brown has signed SB 17 into law. Senate Bill 17 requires drug makers to explain price hikes. UNAC/UHCP strongly supported the landmark drug pricing transparency bill as it made its way through the California legislative process.
