Public Hearing on Wednesday, October 14 at 1 pm regarding DOCHS/Blue Mountain/Integrity Health Care, LLC
October 2015
Dear SFRNA Member:
After careful consideration and after many discussions with Daughters of Charity Health System (DOCHS) and Integrity Healthcare, LLC, UNAC/UHCP leadership and SFRNA leadership oppose the “System Restructuring and Support Agreement” between DOCHS and BlueMountain/Integrity Health Care, LLC.
It has been more than three months since the selection of BlueMountain/Integrity Healthcare, LLC to operate DOCHS. It is our belief that the most important party in the transaction is BlueMountain and we have yet to meet anyone from the New York-based hedge fund. Furthermore, we are troubled by the lack of commitment to the future of our pensions by BlueMountain/Integrity Healthcare, LLC, more specifically a strong capital commitment to ensure a successful transition to an ERISA plan.
Please join us at the California Attorney General’s public hearing on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, beginning at 1:00 pm, at Bateman Hall Auditorium, 11331 Ernestine Ave., Lynwood, CA 90262 to:
- Oppose the change of control and governance of DOCHS to BlueMountain/Integrity Healthcare, LLC
- Request that if the Attorney General approves the transaction, the recommendations made by MDS consulting be required
- Request the establishment of a non-refundable escrow account for the pension
